Pedestrian Crash on 24th Street Sends 1 Person to Hospital

BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 26, 2021) – An unidentified man suffered major injuries Monday night after a pedestrian crash on 24th Street.

The accident happened around 11:40 p.m. August 23, police were called to the intersection of 24th and Oak streets after a vehicle collided with a pedestrian.

First responders rushed the man to a nearby hospital, where he was in a critical condition.

Meanwhile, the male driver remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.

Drugs or alcohol are not thought to have played a role in the crash, but the cause of the collision is still being investigated.
