Multiple news outlets are reporting that late yesterday morning, around 11:30, a man crashed his car into North Hollywood restaurant Tom's Burgers. The driver — who was suspected to be under the influence of an aerosol substance — drove his car through a plate-glass window of the Lankershim Boulevard establishment, seriously injuring himself, and inflicting minor injuries on two adults and a child.

The child and two adults were thrown from their booth when the car hit the restaurant, and they were treated for cuts and bruises. Meanwhile, the man, who was identified as 35-year-old Geoffrey Hathaway of North Hollywood, was arrested under suspicion of felony DUI. Police found numerous aerosol cans, as well as a handgun, in the vehicle.

The North Hollywood-Toluca Lake Patch was able to gather more information, after speaking with Los Angeles Police Capt. Ivan Minsal of the Valley Traffic Division, who told them, “When the officers got here [the driver] was still sucking and breathing in out of the cans, which is a computer duster cleaner.”

The driver was listed as being in serious but stable condition.
