Man Killed, Woman Injured in Suspected DUI Crash near 23rd Avenue Southwest

PUYALLUP, WA (November 30, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, one man was arrested after a fatal auto collision on South Meridian.

The incident occurred on November 27th, at around 2:07 a.m., near 23rd Avenue Southwest.

According to reports, a 32-year-old Tacoma man was heading south on the road when he struck a parked car. The impact of the collision left the male driver and the female passenger of the parked car with serious injuries.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced the male victim dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported the 32-year-old female passenger to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Following preliminary investigations, officers believe that impairment played a factor in the collision. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
