Driver Arrested after Multi-Vehicle Accident near 52nd

PHOENIX, AZ (September 15, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, one man was arrested following a DUI crash on Loop 202.

The incident happened on September 14th at around 5:30 a.m. when a driver traveling at high speed crashed into three vehicles before striking a wall and overturning near 52nd.

Furthermore, the driver was only identified as a 19-year-old man. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital and were later booked for DUI charges, criminal damage, and endangerment charges.

Meanwhile, Loop 202 westbound at Van Buren Street was shut down prior to the crash for several hours. No other injuries were reported and an active investigation is underway.
