Man Hospitalized after Auto Accident near Smoke Tree Road
PHELAN, CA (December 7, 2022) – Early Friday morning, one man was airlifted after a 2-car collision on Sheep Creek Road.
Police responded to the scene around 6:28 a.m., near Smoke Tree Road after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
The events leading up to the auto accident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a white sedan and a Prius collided. Officers located the white sedan with major driver-side damage while the Prius had minor front-end damage.
Furthermore, responders extricated one man from the sedan and airlifted him to Antelope Valley Hospital for further treatment.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened. An active investigation to determine further information about the 2-car collision on Sheep Creek Road is still currently underway.
