Now, before you boys say, Yes! and high-five each other, remember, these are barely-teen girls who are definitely not legal.
The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District recently sent parents a letter (first published by Malibu Patch) warning parents about the summer hazing rituals conducted on incoming freshman by soon-to-be seniors:
Initiation for girls has included such things as wearing bathing suits and being covered with food, cat food, or other sticky substances and then rolled in the sand ending in the ocean or getting hosed off. We have been told that there is lewd, inappropriate sexual conduct.

The letter says it's not clear when the hazing of eighth graders who will be ninth graders in fall might happen but that “next” weekend was a possibility.
Boys are not immune:
Initiation for boys often involves violence, usually in the form of being paddled and physical fighting.
The letter by Malibu High School principal Mark Kelly, assistant principal Phil Wenker and middle school assistant principal Wendy Wax Gellis says they “need your support in bringing this to a stop.”
Make it stop.
