87-Year-Old Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident near Woodbridge Street

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (August 3, 2022) Friday morning, an 87-year-old man sustained injuries in a pedestrian hit-and-run on Victoria Avenue.

The accident happened on July 22nd, at around 11:15 a.m., at the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue near Woodbridge Street.

According to reports, a woman in a new model red Toyota Prius was leaving the condo area when she struck the man. She then left the scene without stopping to render aid to the victim.

Responding paramedics arrived shortly after and rushed the man to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, pending notification of his next of kin.

The police are asking anyone with video surveillance from nearby homes or witnesses, regarding the hit-and-run, to call the department at 805-781-7312.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is underway.
