Each bomb is made of biodegradable plastic. The shell contains artificial soil and seeds. The plastic eventually melts away.
They are conceptualized by South Korean designers Hwang Jin Wook, Jeon You Ho, Han Kuk Il and Kim Ji Myung. The “bombs of hope” are supposed to combat desertification. Begs the question: uh, should we be turning the desert into a jungle? Still, a billion times better than nukes.
