Ever park your car at LAX for extended periods of time while you're away on business trips only to wonder, Damn, how can I make money off my idle ride?

Us neither. But still, this is an intriguing business idea. A company called Hubber hit Los Angeles this week, reps told us. It allows you to rent your car to strangers while you're away:

Sure, that might creep some people out. But think about it: You could see an extra $10 to $30 a day, according to a Hubber spokesman. The company rents your ride out for up to $45, pays you your cut, and keeps the difference.

Hubber carries insurance that includes $1 million in liability and covers most collision and property damage, we were told.

On Thursday it began accepting reservations from Angelenos who want to put their cars up for rent. Starting at the end of the month people who park long-term at LAX can rent out their vehicles.

The site is the brainchild of local film producer Paul Davis.

What's really cool about it is that you don't have to be 25 or older to rent like with most companies; you can get your Hubber on if you're only 21.
