21-Year-Old Motorist Died in a Deadly Crash on S Kino Parkway

TUCSON, AZ (May 25, 2021) – Saturday night, May 14, 21-year-old  Mahmoud Morabet, died in a motorcycle crash on S Kino Parkway.

Around 10:00 p.m., Tucson Police Department officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of S. Kino Parkway.

A 2019 Chevrolet Malibu was making a left turn from southbound Kino Parkway into a business center. Morabet was heading north when he collided with the front passenger side of the Malibu.

The rider of the 2017 Kawasaki ZR900 motorcycle received treatment for non life-threatening injuries. However, Morabet was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver failed to yield before making the left turn, which is now thought to be a key factor in the collision.

In addition, the driver of the Malibu was not injured.

Once available, more information will be released.

No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Our deepest condolences and sympathies are with the family and friends of Mahmoud Morabet.
