After a Halloween afternoon fire that started in the attic, Hollywood institution The Magic Castle will re-open (some of) its doors tonight. As always, the old timey steakhouse and nexus of prestidigitation is only open to members (technically, it's a club) and their guests. The soft re-opening will feature a $20 dinner buffet from 6 to 10 p.m. and shows in the Parlour, the Palace of Mystery and close-up magic in the Peller Theatre. Donations for the “Inferno Fund” will be accepted at the front desk and throughout the Annex.

The Magic Castle will be open on a “member +1” basis. That means members can attend with a single guest. No unescorted guests will be admitted. The normal dress code will be in effect (suits for men, dresses for women).

“These next few nights will be some of the most exciting in Magic Castle history. They'll also be some of the most challenging, though, so we ask your patience and your help in sharing in this unforgettable experience.”

If only the fire itself had been part of some elaborate David Blaine stunt.
