Santa Ana 5 Freeway Crash Leaves One Fatality

SANTA ANA, CA (July 31, 2021) Police are investigating a crash on the Santa Ana 5 Freeway that claimed the life of Luis Manuel Salina Garcia last Saturday.

The fatal accident occurred around 3:20 A.M. at the southbound Santa Ana Freeway on 17th Street.

In addition, the crash involved a Honda Pilot and possibly a Mitsubishi, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced 22-year-old Luis Manuel Salina Garcia dead at the scene.

At least one person was rushed to Orange County Global Medical Center for unspecified injuries.

Santa Ana Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
