19-Year-Old Man Arrested after Solo-Car Accident near Goldie Lane

SANTA MARGARITA, CA (February 15, 2023) – Police arrested Luis H Montesinos Friday morning, after a DUI collision on Highway 58.

The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m., near Goldie Lane.

Per reports, Montesinos was driving a westbound vehicle at a high rate of speed when he lost control at a bend on the road. As a result, the vehicle struck two trees before traveling down a nearby embankment.

Due to the impact of the crash, the driver and his four passengers suffered significant injuries.

Following preliminary duties, police arrested 19-year-old Luis H Montesinos, of Santa Maria for suspected DUI.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. Authorities encourage those with additional information about the Santa Margarita crash to contact local offices immediately.
