18-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Fatal Crash near Alhambra Avenue

MARTINEZ, CA (November 5, 2021) – Early Monday night, 18-year-old Luis Ceja Jr was killed in an auto collision on Highway 4.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the highway, just east of Alhambra Avenue.

Per reports, the driver of a 2011 Honda Accord lost control and crashed into a tree with multiple occupants.

The coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 18-year-old Luis Ceja Jr., of Concord.

Meanwhile, the other occupants sustained major injuries and were taken by ambulance to John Muir Medical Center for further treatment.

Investigators say it was rainy at the time of the crash, and the road was wet.
