Luis Cardona, Cassie Goff and 1 Other Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision near Alamo Creek Road
SANTA BARBARA, CA (July 9, 2021) – Luis Cardona, Cassie Goff and a 14-year-old sustained injuries Friday morning in a crash on Highway 166.
The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. on July 2, on Highway 166 near Alamo Creek Road.
As per reports, Cardona was driving a GMC west on Highway 166 when he swerved into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with Cassie Goff, 46, of Las Vegas, who was driving an oncoming Porsche.
Emergency personnel rushed to the scene and extricated those who were trapped in the Porsche.
Rescuers airlifted the 14-year-old boy to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital after he sustained serious injuries.
Crews also transported Goff and Cardona to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria for further treatment.
At this time, authorities do not currently believe that drugs or alcohol were factors. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
