Some say kill 'em all. Others fetishize their shape, colors and talents for sucking and piercing things. Then there are the people who eat them willingly! Bugs — or, “insects,” as they prefer to be called — are fascinating, and you will see a nightmare's worth of coccoidea (scale insects,), tingoidae (lace bugs), cicadoidea (cicadas), gerromorpha (water crickets) and pentatomoidea (shield bugs) at The 25th Annual Bug Fair. Expect live bug presentations (no, we're not talking about a flea circus), crafts, bug chef demonstrations and the ever-popular cockroach races. You can go home with live or preserved specimens; I recommend the live ones, and I'm sure your teacher will agree.
