PEN Center USA and Playboy presented Love Bites: The Banned Erotica Showcase on September 30 at The Comedy Story. Hosted by Jerry Stahl, the event featured readings of excerpts from Story of O, Tropic of Cancer, The Awakening, Delta of Venus, Lady Chatterly's Lover, Madame Bovary and Lolita. Actors Lucy Engelman, Tom Frank, Joseph O'Malley, Joe Pistone, Leslie Schott, Joe Tower and Elvy Yost all participated in the readings. Burlesque performances from La Cholita, Kitten Navidad and Penny Starr, Jr. rounded out the night. All photos by Nanette Gonzales.
