Fashion-conscious burglars hit the Neiman Marcus at the Westfield Topanga mall and sashayed away with $40,000 worth of Louis Vuitton bags and scarves, police said last night.

Not the most imaginative choice, but just as felonious as anything they could have taken from Chanel or Kate Spade.

And here's the thing:

The next time you see Louis Vuitton goods for sale on Craigslist, they might actually be real.

The brazen, pre-dawn burglary happened about 4:45 a.m. yesterday, according to the LAPD.

Two suspects, both men (!?), walked away and apparently used a nearby getaway car described as a silver, four-door sedan, cops said.

Here's the LAPD's description of the pair:

Suspects are described as males 20-40 years-old, about 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 lbs. Suspect one was wearing a blue hoodie, gray jacket, black pants, white shoes and a mask. Suspect two was wearing a gray hoodie, blue pants and black shoes.

Pretty vague, but add high-end French leather to the equation and you might have some suspects. Call the fashion police at 818-756-4820 (no, really — that's the number for detectives on the case) if you think you might know who these two are.
