Is there a bigger comedian on the zeitgeist than Louis C.K.? He’s gone from stand-up to TV to films, winning two Emmys for his critically-lauded show Louie, about the highs and (mostly) lows of being a single father and struggling comic in New York. (Listen to a recent repeat of a 2010 episode of fellow comic Marc Maron’s WTF podcast in which the two funnymen discuss their decades-long relationship. C.K. even tearfully recalls the birth of this first daughter. It’s podcast gold.) Arenas are never ideal for watching stand-up comedy, but fans of C.K. know that catching him at an intimate venue like Largo is an impossible feat. So grab your tickets while you can.
