West Hollywood is ground zero for Pride Month with Ricky Martin headlining LA Pride in the Park on Saturday, June 8, and grand marshall George Takei hosting what’s being billed as the largest parade LA Pride has ever held with a mind-boggling number of contingents, floats, dancers and luminaries. The route will run north on Highland Boulevard past the ABC7 live broadcast, then head east on Hollywood Boulevard, and south on Cahuenga Boulevard on Sunday, June 9.

But Pride stretches across Los Angeles like a giant rainbow flag — here’s a roundup of where to celebrate and give back to the community.

Kimpton Everly Hollywood – The centrally located boutique hotel is just a stone’s throw away from the Pride festivities, making it easy to join in the parades, parties and events that highlight the community’s spirit. The hotel’s chic, modern design and amenities include a rooftop pool with city views, the lively Ever Bar in the lobby, and the best views of the Hollywood Sign from its rooms and suites.

For the whole month of June, TV host and entertaining expert Paul Zahn has created a custom Pride cocktail just for Kimpton Everly Hollywood. The Watermelon Mint Cosmo is a refreshing cocktail perfect for summer, featuring Absolut Vodka, fresh watermelon juice, orange liqueur, cranberry juice and a mint garnish. Proceeds from every cocktail sold will be donated to GLAAD.
