The ride-share website Zimride recently surveyed 3,000 L.A. drivers on their favorite shortcut street in town.

So now the secret is out, and it's no surprise: Sepulveda Boulevard. Yeah, anything to get away from that nasty 405 freeway.

It beat out …

… Fountain Avenue (we're not sure what Fountain is a shortcut for — Santa Monica Boulevard?) and La Cienega Boulevard, another 405 alternate, according to Zimride.

Of course, as the survey found, seven percent of you have a shortcut that you're not wiling to divulge.

So then, it's no surprise to find out that the most-loathed freeway in L.A. is … the 405: 54 percent of the respondents said that freeway had the worst traffic.

L.A.'s favorite weekend driving destination is … San Diego (37 percent voted for it). (And we call the 405 the San Diego Freeway? Little passive-aggressive behavior here, Angelenos? Discuss.) It beat out Santa Barbara (19 percent) and Las Vegas (16 percent).

Finally, to avoid traffic on Fridays do you leave early (before 4) or late (after 7)? 58 percent of you said go early. Yeah.

By the way, Zimride is offering ride-share opportunities to Vegas for the big Electric Daisy Carnival show if you're going. Info.
