Los Angeles will resume COVID-19 vaccinations at city-run sites Tuesday after experiencing shipment delays due to inclement weather.

The city’s six vaccination sites, including Dodger Stadium’s, will continue to place priority on patients needing second doses and is currently taking appointments for the week.

“Our City’s vaccination teams are ready to make up for lost time and get doses into people’s arms quickly, safely, and equitably,” Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a press release. “With new shipments comes a renewed sense of determination to vaccinate as many Angelenos as possible and move closer to the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The delays caused the shipments for both Friday and Saturday vaccinations to be delayed and appointments had to be rescheduled, giving those affected in Los Angeles priority.

The shipments contain 92,000 doses and 3,750 will be distributed to Pierce College for first-dose patients.

The city’s mobile clinics were not affected by the delays and L.A. County-run sites, which are handled separately from the city-run sites, continued its dose administrations through the weekend.
