Los Angeles County officials have notified a Hacienda Heights pot shop that it's high time to shut its doors. On Thursday the dispensary at 15608 Gale Ave. was notified that it was allegedly operating illegally — without a business license or other permits granted by the county — according to a statement from Supervisor Don Knabe's office.

County authorities will demand its immediate closure next week.

The dispensary is also deemed to be too close to a residence and church: County rules, like the city of L.A.'s, prohibit pot shops from being within 1,000 feet of homes, apartments, schools and churches.

“Dispensary operators have a duty to be responsible community partners and this operator has clearly failed miserably,” said Supervisor Knabe.
