2 Hospitalized after DUI Collision near Cardella Road

MERCED, CA (January 28, 2022) – Authorities arrested Lori Gallo after a DUI crash on G Street that left 2 people hospitalized, Thursday evening.

According to police, the collision occurred around 7:06 p.m., when a 2022 Maserati sideswiped a Lexus going south on G Street.

Afterward, the Maserati struck a Honda that was stopped at the intersection of G Street and Cardella Road. Upon impact, the Maserati and the Lexus then both went into a ditch several meters away.

Additionally, a fourth vehicle received damages after it struck a tire torn off from the Maserati.

First responders arrived and transported the Lexus and Honda drivers to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Meanwhile, officers identified the Maserati driver as 47-year-old Gallo and arrested him for DUI.
