34-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Accident near Box Springs Road
RIVERSIDE, CA (November 22, 2021) – A crash on the 215 Freeway claimed the life of Lorena Negrete early Thursday morning.
According to authorities, the crash happened on the southbound lanes of the highway near Box Springs Road.
California Highway Patrol says the crash involved a truck and another vehicle. Police responded to the scene just after 7:00 a.m.
The Riverside County coroner’s office identified 34-year-old Negrete, of Ontario as the woman involved in the collision. Due to the impact of the crash, authorities pronounced her dead at the scene.
Additionally, the incident left five people and a child trapped in their vehicles. The child experienced a head injury, but medics were able to transport the child to a hospital for treatment.
In total, six people were critically injured in the crash.
