Nick Prueher and Joe Pickett's popular Found Footage Festival is on a big 75-city tour, and it pulls into town this week for what is promised to be the biggest and best presentation of filmed oddities and weird crap yet. Comedy dudes Prueher and Pickett are especially proud of Mr. Morrison, a balloon animal–twisting show they found on L.A. public access. What else? Prueher says, “We found more VHS tapes at thrift stores last year than ever before, and it's our theory that we've now found all the VHS tapes there are to find. We've got them all, and we'll be cramming a lot of them into the new show. They include seven different how-to videos about ventriloquism, exercise videos starring Lyle Alzado, O.J. Simpson and a few American Gladiators, a police training video about how to deal with Hell's Angels, highlights from a pet advice call-in show from Long Island, and a tape called How to Get Revenge, hosted by Linda Blair from The Exorcist.” And before they share their findings, there's a screening of the cult documentary Heavy Metal Parking Lot. Largo at the Coronet, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd.; Tues., March 1, 8 p.m.; $20. (310) 855-0350, foundfootagefest.com.
