Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on Ward Street Kills 34-Year-Old Long Ta

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (September 15, 2021) – Early Saturday morning, Long Ta, 34, was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Ward Street.

The fatal collision took place around 6:20 a.m., at the intersection of Ward Street and Edinger Avenue, according to police. Officers arrived to the scene shortly after.

Officers located Ta laying in the roadway with critical injuries, and quickly transported him to a local hospital.

Unfortunately due to the extent of his injuries, Long Ta was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to officials, Ta was walking through a crosswalk when a minivan ran a red light, striking him in the roadway, then fleeing the scene shortly after the impact.

Meanwhile, the crash is still currently under investigation, police suspect the vehicle was a dark-colored 91′-95′ Dodge or Chrysler minivan with significant damage to the front-left part of the vehicle.
