Moreno Valley Car Crash Leaves One Fatality

MORENO VALLEY, CA (June 1, 2021) – Following a two-car collision on Day Street Wednesday afternoon, authorities identified Logan Edwards as the deceased victim.

The incident occurred around 3:10 P.M., on Bay Avenue and Day Street. Emergency crews arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, an eastbound 2014 Toyota Corolla failed to stop at a posted stop sign on Bay Avenue. Meanwhile, a 2012 Ford Edge proceeded at the intersection where the two vehicles collided.

Emergency responders pronounced the Ford driver, 17-year-old Logan Edwards, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medical personnel transported the Corolla driver into Riverside University Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Authorities closed down Brill Road and Sherman Avenue in Day Street for several hours to conduct an investigation. But, the roadway has since reopened.

Once available, more information will be released to the public.
