You'll be hard-pressed to find a more picturesque place to chow down on a $2 pupusa than Un Solo Sol, a Latin American restaurant in Boyle Heights. The streetside cafe across from Mariachi Plaza offers unobstructed views along 1st Street to the glittering skyscrapers of downtown. The food inside, a Pan-American mix of taquitos, fried stuffed plantains, corn tamales and vegetarian-friendly pupusas, is nothing to overlook. But it's hard to keep your eyes on the plate when there are colorful murals on the black walls, music strumming from one corner of the room and that city skyline blinking in the distance.
