Roscoe's is sort of a staple in Los Angeles. The unexpected collaboration between fried chicken and syrup soaked waffles is a marvel people are constantly intrigued by and the restaurants have held some of the most famous patrons, including former President Barack Obama. The California-based soul food restaurant chain was founded by Herb Hudson, a Harlem native, in 1975. The plates are ginormous and all of your typical Southern staples (mashed potatoes, corn bread, green beans) can be added alongside your heaps of chicken. Drenching all of that in maple syrup is the way to go, just trust us.
