Known for its famous French dip, Cole's is in the heart of downtown, next to The Association. The french dip sandwiches are truly something to marvel over and you won't be able to resist their spicy garlic fries and bacon potato salad. Not to mention their arrangement of float options offered to complete the meal. One of the oldest bars in the city, it occupies the ground floor of the original Pacific Electric building, and is home to the Varnish, a hidden, private bar of sorts, serving high-end classic cocktails. The bartenders are the real deal and make you feel as though you're back in the 1920s hiding away, drinking your gin in a speakeasy.
