Opened in 2010 this cute little coffee/cafe in Silver Lake was started with the intent to be a general store where one can collect, well, general items and knickknacks while ordering a cup of coffee. There is a hodgepodge of things scattered throughout the store: practical (kitchen and tableware), hard-to-find-(an impressive array of flours and meals from Bob's Red Mill), lovingly local (sweets from Valerie Confections and Cake Monkey), and indulgent (ginger syrup from Brooklyn's Morris Kitchen). Great for coffee, for pastries and sandwiches, and for getting caught up on shopping. Multi-tasking with caffeine.
