Bourbon Steak, located in the Americana at Brand in Glendale, is the 18th restaurant for Michelin-starred chef Michael Mina, who has restaurants all over the country, from Baltimore to Miami to Las Vegas. With its swanky, dark wood and leather booth interior, Bourbon Steak should make masculine, monied, Glendale steak eaters deliriously happy. The restaurant specializes in steak and seafood, as you would expect. There are some insanely decadent-sounding dishes (lobster potpie) and straightforward chophouse fare, there's also fusion fun such as hamachi and tuna poppers, duck spring rolls and lobster corn dogs. Steaks range from an 6-ounce petite filet for $42 to Japanese Wagyu that costs $32 an ounce with a 3-ounce minimum. And, of course, there's truffle mac and cheese.
