The hangar-size emporium, the sister store to two locations in the Bay Area, has an awe-inspiring selection of music, DVDs and posters and is also the site of free in-store concerts. Solomon Burke, Cobra Verde, Patti Smith, Paul Westerberg, Neko Case, PJ Harvey, the Raconteurs, Ceci Bastida and Paul McCartney are among the many performers who've played on Amoeba's small stage. The store rests above an underground parking lot, and there's more parking in a small lot just down the block.
