Living a Dada Life: Swedish DJ duo Dada Life will perform a set at the Academy on Saturday, alongside No Pants Party, Brandon Scott and Calinovas.

It’s been over three years since the Our Nation album, but they released three singers in 2021: “Love is Coming Down,” “Noise Heaven,” and “Electronic Circus Weapon.”

Back in 2018, Olaf Cornéer said of the album and “Higher Than the Sun” single that, “It feels so great to release the new single from our upcoming album. It’s a bit different from everything we’ve done before. It has those classic sounds we love, but used in new ways. We wanted to make something that both sounds like it could have been made 1987 in the classic house era as well as being completely new. It’s our vision of dance music in 2018. It’s maybe a little bit softer than what we’re known for. But don’t worry, the album will have crash-into-the-wall-with-a-smile-on-your-face-bangers too!”

A press release said of the album, “The new 11-track LP has something to offer fans on the full-dance music spectrum; from hard-edged bangers like the album lead-off ‘Our Nation,’ to softer, slightly orchestral accented album closer ‘Falling Backwards In Time,’ or the album’s first single, the uplifting and good-vibed electro-house ‘Higher Than The Sunday,’ mixed by Daft Punk collaborator Mick Guzauski.

Living a Dada Life: The event takes place at 10 p.m. on Saturday, January 8 at the Academy
