The Corona Concerts group has been set up on Facebook for the purposes of live streaming gigs into our own homes. Performers who rely on live music for their income are including a Facebook link, so viewers can contribute what they are able.

Organizer Suzanne Noble told us via email that, “I set up Corona Concerts to support musicians who depend on gigging for all or part of their income. I’m a part-time jazz and blues singer and also host events. To date, I’ve had nearly £1,000 (about $1,300) wiped off my income this month alone and I suspect I’m not the only one! The idea is that musicians use the group to live stream and request donations. I’m planning on holding a ‘concert’ from my home on 9th April so we’ll see if it works out!”

Visit Facebook.com/groups/coronaconcerts and maybe discover a new artist while keeping live music alive.
