People love Greg Laswell, and it's not just the music supervisors who've funneled his ballads of heartache into shows such as “Grey's Anatomy,” “90210” and “The Hills.” The 36-year-old singer-songwriter's deft ability to turn melancholy inside out served him well on his 2006 breakthrough “Through Toledo,” and after the ill-advised 2009 “Covers” EP — on which he schmaltzed up the likes of Kristin Hersh, Mazzy Star and Morphine — Laswell is back with the resplendent “Take a Bow,” out today on Vanguard Records. Tonight he'll kick off a nationwide tour in support of the album by playing to a sold-out Troubadour.
