No matter whether you regard Cinco de Mayo as a meaningful holiday or a beer company-sponsored excuse to get loaded, it's a good day to get your bilingual on. Spaceland's lineup tonight plays right into that: NYC's hybridizers of dub, electro and Latin rhythms Pacha Massive headline, supported by Nortec Collective's Clorofila and L.A.'s own Wait. Think. Fast, who recently finished recording their sophomore album “Luces del Sur.” Ah,the language of dance.

Elsewhere: Sold-out shows at the Fonda Theatre, where the Hold Steady is launching a tour behind its new album “Heaven Is Whenever,” and at the Troubadour, where Irish buzz bands Two Door Cinema Club teams up with locals Funeral Party. … Jane's Addiction does its first show with Duff McKagan at cozy Bardot, where there might already be a line forming for the 100 or so civilians they'll let into the show. … And Anticon post-rocker Dosh hits the Echo (get there early to check out the pride of Chatsworth, Baths).

Also: Quetzal Guerrero & the Warriors at the Redwood Bar; Eluvium and Bell Gardens at the Bootleg Theater; Widows Gone Wild at the Silverlake Lounge; Nero at the Scion party at the Roxy; MC Frontalot at the Viper Room; Stacey Clark at the Mint; Wiz Khalifa at the Glass House; Mochipet at Low End Theory at the Airliner; and Juan the Mannequin at the Smell.
