Bay Area-based indie-folk songstresses Thao Nguyen and Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn each has built estimable catalogs over the past several years, Nguyen under her tongue-twisting moniker Thao With the Get Down Stay Down and Mirah as, well, Mirah. They teamed up at a performance at San Francisco's Noise Pop in February, felt the magic and have taken that show on the road under a name that also thumbs its nose at brevity, Thao and Mirah With the Most of All. When the tour hits the Bootleg Theater tonight, expect lively banter, a loose atmosphere and, most of all, sharp songs from each artist's inventory.

Elsewhere: Jazz legend Herbie Hancock appears at the Grammy Museum to discuss his new documentary, “The Imagine Project.” … Guy Sebastian, the Australian Idol sensation whose latest album “Like It Like That” features collaborations with John Mayer and Jordin Sparks, plays the Hotel Cafe. … And nerdcore rapper MC Chris visits the Troubadour.

Also: June's Silver Lake/Echo Park residencies kick off tonight — Long Beach's We Barbarians are at Spaceland, supported by Ezra Furman and the Romany Rye; Line and Circle play the Silverlake Lounge, tonight with Jack's Mannequin side projects Bikelock and Kid Is Qual; and Rainbow Arabia holds forth at the Echo, with Secret Circuit and Japanther. … And at the RSVP-only It's a School Night at Bardot, it's Hot Hot Heat and Suckers.
