Hope you don't feel slighted, Los Angeles. Two weekends ago on That Other Coast, LCD Soundsystem brought the house — or, rather, Terminal 5 — down with an eye-popping, ear-decimating, 2 1/2-hour show that wound up with “New York I Love You” and a cover of Alicia Keys' “Empire State of Mind.” Then the giddy crowd was showered with white balloons. What do James Murphy and crew have in mind for his equally adoring L.A. audiences? Expect loud in every sense of the word. We thought LCD had jumped the shark when we heard “Drunk Girls” and saw the insipid video, but then Pitchfork gave the new album “This Is Happening” a 9.2 rating and made it all seem so intellectual. The Palladium is sold out tonight, as is the Fox Theater in Pomona on Saturday, so LCD's balloon is in no danger of popping.
