Stepping aside from his successful Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Alex Ebert has returned to his formerly new-wavey Ima Robot project.

The band's first album in four years, Another Man's Treasure, is streaming now (embedded below) and it's not what you'd expect.

David Bowie, Jane's Addiction and even Bob Marley come to mind in listening. The band's new sound trades in dancey thump and synths for psychedelic pop fueled by analog sources. There are similarities to ES&MZ too, but by and large, Ima Robot have got their own thing going on.
