71-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pileup Collision near Highway 160

RIO VISTA, CA (January 20, 2022) – Saturday morning, 71-year-old Linda Martinez-Harper was killed in a 6-vehicle crash on Highway 12.

According to reports, the collision occurred around 9:00 a.m., and involved 6 vehicles.

Crews responded to the scene at Highway 12 and Highway 160. However, the events leading up to the incident still remain unclear.

First responders arrived at the scene and transported one of the victims to a hospital. Due to the extent of her condition, she later succumbed to her injuries at Northbay Medical Center in Fairfield.

Authorities later identified the deceased woman as 71-year-old Martinez-Harper, of Santa Rosa.

The surrounding area on Highway 12 was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

At this time, California Highway Patrol officers are still currently working to identify the circumstances surrounding the Rio Vista multi-vehicle crash.
