Best known for its rhythmic fantasyland in the center grounds of Coachella every year, The Do Lab's Lightning In A Bottle offers an arts and music-fueled, somewhat Burning Man-esque weekend experience. Too many amusements to list here, but the sounds at this family-friendly camping event promise to be pretty stellar: Pretty Lights perform, Thievery Corporation offer a DJ set and there's many, many more on various stages. M.A.N.D.Y. (Philipp Jung and Patrick Bodmer) kick off the wild weekend at Nightfall, featuring with their extra-sensory “Body Language 10 World Tour.” A pumping presentation melding infra-red technology and hypnotic video effects onto both beatsmith's bodies as they perform, this one should be as fun to watch as it will be to move to. Always an anything-goes rager, A Club Called Rhonda's bigger events called Rhondavous take it to another level and this Friday should be no exception. This time, Rhonda calls on her regulars aka “pleasure seekers, hedonists and Rhondites” to take over downtown with holiday hijinx and sounds by feral deep house humpers Catz n' Dogz, cosmic new-stepper Space Dimension Controller, euro-disco playboy Munk (Gomma) and local floor lovers Goddollars. Space Roller Disco marks 10 years rocking and rolling the rink at World on Wheels with funky disco and old school jams. DJs Dennis (GoodFoot!) &

Riley More (Shout!, BFD, Miss Kitty's) provide the floor freaking tunes and those less skate-savvy can have a different kind of flashback in the Vegasy bar upstairs, complete with mini-dance floor and karaoke stage. Bar Sinister is always a good one for delving into a wicked long weekend and this week, the fetishy glam/goth gaggles will have extra grinding good times as Cramps tribute band The Human Flys take the outdoor stage. Direct from San Francisco, one of the founding members of Honey Soundsystem, DJ Pee Play drips into LA for Mother's Honey. The lauded queer DJ collective hosts some of the wildest parties in the Bay Area and PP will surely bring his special brand of sonic sweetness for this one. It's gonna be long hot summer if the return of Summertramp is any sign. the “pansexual waterpark extravaganza” returns to downtown on Sunday, bringing fierce lounge looks, skimpy skivvies and more to the Astroturf- covered parking lot of Tony's Bar. With a giant inflatable water slide as focal point, the party will feature DJ sets all day by 
Aaron Elvis, Daisy O'Dell, David Banjella, Josh Castro, TR/808
 and Valida. Moheak.com's Re-Launch Party with feature its rockin roster of DJs (including yours truly) and acoustic performances at the new downtown venue, The Onyx Lounge. Morgan Page heats up the Roosevelt Hotel's Tropicana Club and pool area at Homemade LA's Wet Pool Party. Page's buoyant progressive house mixes have earned him action on iTunes' dance chart, Beatport's progressive chart and Billboard's club charts over the years, and they're sure to drench and quench the bikini bunches at this popular bash, which moved from San Fran to LA back in 2002.
