Attention clubbers and nightlife revelers: Here, we present our brand new club-centric column for LA Weekly's print edition, a platter of party picks to mark your calendar by every week. If it's popping in LA (get it… L “in” A?), and DJs or dancing are involved, we'll have it for you right here…

Week-nights kind of kick week-end's ass in March, what with Mardi Gras' Fat Tuesday this week and St. Patrick's Day next, both offering hard partying on LA's dance floors. Still, DJ talent and themed clubbing abounds all week. Whether you plan to drink 'till you turn green or werk it for the weekend, here are your best bets.

Fri., March 11-

French electro-house producer Mr. Oizo (Ed Banger Records) takes the decks, bringing his signature “Flat Beat” sound and flagrant mixes to Control. Best known for work with Uffie, Oizo uses repetitive rhythms and bass looping in hypnotic ways. Joined by spazzy rock jock turned disc jock Tommy Lee and his tag teamer DJ Aero, plus Will Bailey, Deth Hertz and Bones on the main stage, this one will offer a motley mix of sounds and styles, indeed. At Avalon, 1735 Vine St., Hlwd. https://avalonhollywood.com

Sat., March 12-

There may be more prancing than dancing at PoptArt Gallery when photographer Austin Young unveils the photos he shot of LA's creative cognoscenti and club kids for the “Your Face Here,” exhibit, but thanks to guest spinstress for the event DJ Juanita More (Trannyshack SF, Bootycall SF), we fully expect the floor to be as vibrant and packed as the walls. 7-10 p.m. 3023 W. 6th St. https://lapoptart.com

Tues., March 15-

Check Yo Ponytail 2 keeps making those tails shake, this week with live noise from synth-punkers The Death Set (it's their record release bash) and burning hot DJ headliner The Gaslamp Killer (Low End Theory). Also with NY rap ragers Ninjasonik , electro-poptress Zowie, Biker Daughter (aka Shadowscene photog Ellei Johndro's new music project) and CYP's own Franki Chan. At the Echoplex, 1154 Glendale Blvd., Echo Park. https://www.checkyoponytail.com

Thurs., March 17-

Green beer's for bufoons. When it comes to colored booze for St. Patty's Day, we prefer a more bewitchingly potent poison: absinthe! No surprise, LA's night fiends and goth crowds do too. All are sure to not be late for The Mad Hatter's Absinthe Party, for LADead heads and their cohorts. Fanciful green (and black) garb, Alice-like fantasy frocks, and Neo-Victorian looks encouraged. DJ Xian and Baron spin darkwave, ethereal, dark '80s, synthpop, neo-classical and more. At the Monte Cristo Nightclub, 3100 Wilshire Blvd. RSVP required. https://www.LADEAD.com/
