Is 11-11-11 a date to fear, anticipate or get amped up for? Psychologists say it might bring about cases of “apophenia” (the human tendency to find meaning or patterns in randomly occurring data). We can promise this weekend — which kicks off Friday with a whole buncha 1s (and 2s on the turntables)– will be anything but random when it comes to great DJs, big parties, tribute nights and late night carousing.

Fri., Nov. 11

Peanutbutter Wolf is obsessed with numbers, it seems. His annual events marking once-per-century dates (he's thrown parties on 9-9-9 and 10-10-10, for instance) feature multi-genre sets at different venues, and are legendary in L.A. For 11-11-11, you know he's got something epic up his sleeve. The plan is a single unforgettable night at the Eagle Rock Center for the Arts, featuring 11 DJ stars, spinning from 1100 records from PBW's personal wax collection, for eleven hours, all for the entrance fee of $11. DJs TBA, but we're gonna make an educated guess that the lineup will be from the top 10 — er, 11 — selectors rocking clubs in Los Angeles, his label Stones Throw and beyond. Wolf's not supposed to spin himself, but by 11:11 p.m., the odds are 11 to 1 he won't be able to resist. 6 p.m.- 1 a.m. 2225 Colorado Blvd., Eagle Rock. More info. at www.stonesthrow.com

After-hours lovers will want to check out In 2 Deep with guest DJ Derrick May and friends. Atomic Mike, Ash Barnes, and Residents JC Carmona & Cache will definitely keep you awake before and after the Detroit techno pioneer's sure-to-be assiduous set. 2 am til 10 am. At the Burgundy House, 6202 Santa Monica Blvd. Facebook invite.

Sat., Nov. 12

Rhondavous is A Club Called Rhonda on steroids … if steroids had the additional effects of Ecstasy and Viagra. Sexy and excessive, the party promises a “bigger venue, bigger lineup, bigger fun, bigger heels & bigger hair.” Guests include Oliver $ (“Doin' Ya Thang”) from Berlin, the U.K.'s Crazy P Soundsystem, Austria's Wolfram and Marcos Cabral of NY duo Runaway. Rhonda residents Goddollars, Paradise, MC Russinabox, and Gregory Alexander will, of course, make you prance and dance with colossal sounds and sights as well. New venue (for Rhonda), 333 S. Boylston St., Downtown. www.rhondasays.net

Sun., Nov. 13

Part Time Punks follows up their popular Smiths night last week with another badass black celebration honoring new wavey wonders, their Depeche Mode Tribute Nite. Featuring guest DJs Alex and Ray from the Annual Depeche Mode Convention (as well as AM/FM, Reflex, Club Planet Earth and Transistor), you'll hear tunes from DM's thirty-year career as well as synthpop and minimal synth inspired by Gahan and the guys. If you just can't get enough of this stuff, don't miss it. At the Echo, 1822 Sunset Blvd. Echo Park. www.parttimepunks.com
