Lightning in a Bottle, the Burning Man-esque alternative to more mainstream EDM festivals like EDC and Hard, has announced the dates and location for its 2015 incarnation.

For the second straight year, LiB (as the kids call it) will take place at Lake San Antonio Recreation Center in Monterey County, about four hours north of Los Angeles. By all accounts (including ours), Lake San Antonio was a big improvement over the festival's 2013 location, Riverside County's Lake Skinner Regional Park, where noise restrictions and a heavy-handed law enforcement presence put a damper on the festivities.

LiB 2015 will happen over Memorial Day weekend, May 21-25. Tickets for the festival will go on sale Monday, Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. For the first 24 hours, a full weekend pass will cost $235; after that, passes will set you back $260.

The 2015 lineup has yet to be announced. Past headliners have included Moby, Little Dragon, Simian Mobile Disco and Purity Ring. Festival organizers the Do LaB have confirmed that ambient electronic producer Scott Hansen of Tycho will be returning as the festival's lead visual designer, billed under his ISO50 design alias.
