Let’s Tauk About Livestreams: It’s been close to three years since Oyster Bay, NY, prog-rockers Tauk released their Shapeshifter II: Outbreak album. There have been signs of life though; three live albums were released between 2018-19, and the “Come on Now” single dropped last year.

Of that last album, a press release read: “Shapeshifter II: Outbreak embeds the sci-fi narrative into TAUK’s most adventurous, emotionally expansive work to date. A continuation of their early-2018 EP, Shapeshifter I: Construct, the new album picks up where its predecessor’s narrative thread left off, and broadens the band’s sonic palette to include a vast spectrum of synth sounds and programmed effects.”
