54-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Crash on Flowing Wells Road

TUCSON, AZ (March 21, 2022) – Saturday, Lester David Flores was arrested, and Thomas Joseph Lemburg was killed in a crash on Prince Road.

On March 5, police responded to the scene near Flowing Wells Road. For reasons unknown, Lemburg was running from the northbound lanes to the southbound lanes on Prince Road.

There, the driver of a vehicle struck him, causing life-threatening injuries. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim.

Shortly after, medical personnel arrived and pronounced 54-year-old Lemburg dead at the scene.

Investigators later located the involved vehicle and retrieved some substantial evidence that led to Flores. Early Thursday morning on March 17th, police seized Lester David Flores at a motel on West Miracle Mile.

As a result, police charged Flores with hit-and-run involving a fatality. He was taken into custody in the Pima County jail.

At this time, an active investigation into the hit-and-run crash is currently ongoing.
