San Diego Woman Killed in Solo-Car Collision on Burnt Valley Road

ANZA, CA (February 4, 2022) – A solo-vehicle crash on Burnt Valley Road claimed the life of Leslie Schotz, Friday afternoon.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m., when her vehicle plunged down the hillside west of Burnt Valley Road.

California Highway Patrol officers later identified the sedan driver as the 36-year-old husband of the deceased victim. Moreover, investigators claimed that the driver of the vehicle lost control and veered onto the shoulder of the two-lane corridor.

Afterward, the vehicle plunged 100 feet, rolling onto its roof before coming to rest. Authorities later identified 34-year-old Leslie Schotz as the woman who died in the crash.

Meanwhile, her husband and their two children escaped the wreckage. At this time, Anza Officials are investigating the deadly collision.
