26-Year-Old Man Dies, Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Speeding Crash on Alicia Avenue

LINDA, CA (January 13, 2023) – Thursday morning, Leslie Garcia was hurt and a man was killed in a speeding collision on Kay Street.

The incident occurred near Alicia Avenue around 3:32 a.m.

Per reports, the male driver of a 2000 Toyota Camry traveled through a stop sign at the intersection at a high rate of speed.

As a result, the Toyota drove directly into the path of a 2018 Toyota Camry, driven by 24-year-old Leslie Garcia. Upon impact, Garcia suffered minor injuries.

However, medics pronounced the 26-year-old speeding driver dead at the scene due to the extent of his condition. Authorities have not yet released his identity.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

Moreover, CHP added that the man was not wearing a seatbelt at that time and DUI is not suspected to be the cause of the incident. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
